TORONTO -- Imperial Coffee and Services Inc. is offering its OCS clients a line of fair trade coffee from Jumping Bean Coffee (St. John's, Newfoundland). Jumping Bean's "ECO2" roasting process reportedly reduces emissions by 85%, compared with traditional roasters, and its coffees carry Fair Trade certification.

Imperial Coffee president Mark Steiner said the company's sustainable approach compelled the company to try its coffees. "The coffee was delicious and so we decided to share it with our customers," said Steiner. "The response has been overwhelming." Imperial Coffee has provided office coffee service in Toronto and throughout Ontario since 1974.

"As we grow our brand from a well-known regional brand to an established national Canadian brand, we are delighted to develop the in-house coffee bean program for the clients of Imperial Coffee throughout Ontario," said Jeff LeDrew, president and founder of Jumping Bean Coffee.
