RICHMOND, VA -- The Virginia Automatic Merchandising Association will hold an educational and legislative conference on July 25 at the Hilton Garden Inn here.

Virginia general assembly member, Jimmie Massie (R), a key player on the state budget and other critical tax issues for business, will provide a legislative update following VAMA's board meeting.

A two-part workshop led by Chris Leone of WebStrategies Inc. and lunch will follow. Operators will learn how to implement the most effective digital marketing strategies to connect with their target markets. Leone will discuss the main elements websites should have and how search engine marketing can generate qualified visitors. The digital marketing expert will also cover email marketing and how best to use social technologies to build a brand.

Registration for the VAMA conference is free to operators and $250 for suppliers per company (4 attendees maximum) and is available online; the deadline is July 21.
