OCALA, FL -- Following the passage of Florida's ban on the state's Internet cafés, many senior arcades are closing. However, these businesses were not the main target of HB 155, which sought to close down electronic sweepstakes locations.

On April 18, attorneys filed a complaint in Broward Circuit Court, asking a judge for an injunction that would allow the arcades to continue to operate as they have before.

Gale Fontaine, president of the Florida Arcade and Bingo Association, has hired attorney Bruce Rogow (Fort Lauderdale) to challenge the law, according to a story in the Sun Sentinel.
