LAS VEGAS -- Insert Coin(s), the nightclub that features classic coin-op games on Fremont Street here, is opening a second store in Minneapolis.
Owners Chris LaPorte, a former healthcare professional, and Stefano Sinicropi, who came from the automobile industry, launched the original Vegas venue about a year ago.
LaPorte told a Minnesota news outlet that he hopes eventually to roll out an Insert Coin(s) bar in every major U.S. city, leading to city vs. city videogame tournaments. | SEE STORY
Insert Coin(s) offers console and arcade gaming in a highly socialized setting. It opened in Las Vegas with 45 arcade cabinets, most of them classics like Double Dragon or Rampage set to play at 50¢. The club also features many vintage home consoles, retrofitted for use with modern displays.
