New Sessions and Learning Opportunities Highlight IAAPA Attractions Expo 2014 Education Program

(August 21, 2014) -- The International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions will provide attractions industry professionals more than 100 educational opportunities at IAAPA Attractions Expo 2014. IAAPA Attractions Expo is the largest conference and trade show in the world for the attractions industry and takes place Nov. 17-21 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL.

Diverse learning opportunities, including informative visits to many of Orlando's premier attractions and engaging presentations by some of the most respected names in and outside of the attractions industry, will be available for more than 27,000 expected IAAPA Attractions Expo attendees. Session topics will cover key focuses in the industry including social media, games, revenue operations, entertainment, marketing, food and beverage, human resources, safety, theming, and more.

Notable speakers scheduled to present at IAAPA Attractions Expo education sessions include Ocean Park Corporation CEO Tom Mehrmann (Big Employee Rewards Start Here); former Israeli Security Agency anti-terrorism agent Michael Rozin (Facility Security Series: Recognizing Suspicious Indicators, Behavior Detection and Assessment); Palace Entertainment Director of FEC Operations Ken Withers (Guest Experiences and its Impact on Revenue); Fred Grubb, owner, Rocky Mountain Construction Group (The Rocky Mountain Coaster Story: Fast Track to Success); and TV personalities and make-up artists Marco Marco and Nix Herrera (Entertainment Design Workshop).

"Not only does this year's IAAPA Attractions Expo education program offer insight on key attractions industry topics from within our trade, it incorporates ideas taken from other businesses, too," said IAAPA president and CEO Paul Noland. "Our program is rich with speakers who have found ways to apply ideas developed in other fields to the attractions industry, broadening our perspective and moving our industry forward."

More than 80 expert-led educations sessions will be available as part of IAAPA's general education program. Sessions within the program are available at no additional cost to IAAPA members; nonmembers must pay a $329 fee in addition to Expo registration. IAAPA is also offering six IAAPA institutes and symposiums during the IAAPA Attractions Expo 2014 education conference. The in-depth courses will provide family entertainment center professionals, attractions managers, human resource professionals, laser tag operators, crisis managers, inflatables operators, and more valuable learning experiences. Hands-on, behind-the-scenes learning will take place during educational visits to Fun Spot America, The Holy Land Experience, Disney's Hollywood Studios, and the Orlando Eye/I-Drive 360 project.
