Sweepstakes Vendors Face Bans, Busts And Lawsuits In 20 States: Wall Street Journal

NEW YORK CITY -- Internet sweepstakes cafés are "under siege from state and local authorities" nationwide with bans, lawsuits or criminal complaints active or pending in about 20 states, according to a recent posting in the Wall Street Journal.
The paper said researchers have calculated that sweepstakes videogame industry grosses before payouts could range as high as $13 billion in North Carolina alone.
