ATLANTA -- Coca-Cola Co. is piloting several new countertop models of its state-of-the-art Freestyle fountain dispenser, one of which is intended for workplace breakrooms. The smallest countertop machine provides more than 35 drink choices and is designed for locations like breakrooms and cafés. Two other models are designed for mid-volume locations and can dispense up to 80 different beverage choices.
The same engaging touchscreen interface featured on the standalone Freestyle is part of all the new dispensers. All three will be piloted by the end of the year, according to Coca-Cola.
The original Coca-Cola Freestyle dispenser, which made its debut in 2009, offers more than 100 beverage choices. It dispenses unique beverages by blending specific recipes of concentrated ingredients with water and sweetener at the point where the beverage is dispensed. More than 20,000 of the machines are currently in operation across 48 states.
The Coca-Cola Freestyle mobile app lets users find their nearest dispenser, get special offers, save favorite drinks, create and share mixes, check in and complete challenges.
Coke's expanded Freestyle range was announced a few days after PepsiCo launched its own futuristic fountain, Pepsi Spire, in several models. | READ MORE
