INDIANAPOLIS, IN -- Participants in the Business Leadership and Superior Training conference here had the opportunity to examine a working micromarket based on 365 Retail Markets' new SmartHub Micro self-checkout kiosk. BLAST is organized and presented by the National Association of Blind Merchants, a division of the National Federation of the Blind.
"We are proud to be part of an extraordinary show," said 365 Retail Markets founder and chief executive Joseph Hessling. "The response at the NAMA OneShow to our latest edition, the SmartHub Micro, was outstanding, and we plan to continue to share how 365 is building a smarter micromarket in 2013."
The SmartHub Micro has a smaller form factor than traditional kiosks, and weighs only 25 lbs. Its smaller size allows for greater flexibility in placement, as well as reduced cost of entry into the popular self-checkout retailing business. It therefore makes micromarket installations possible in a wider range of locations.
The micromarket was displayed and demonstrated at the Randolph-Sheppard trade show on May 23, the final day of the 2013 BLAST conference.
