SAUNDERTON, England -- The Automatic Vending Association has launched the website for next year's AVEX convention and trade show. The event is set for June 30 and July 1, 2015, in Manchester, England.
The website -- avexshow.co.uk -- features a user-friendly design that's said to be responsive to all desktop and mobile devices. It incorporates an "exhibitor zone," providing secure access to all the show information exhibitors may need, as well as a visitor guide and photo gallery.
Also available on the show website is a blog that will be regularly updated by the AVA team and exclusive industry guest bloggers. A news section presents up-to-the-minute information about the coffee, vending, water and hotel/restaurant/catering industries. (Those interested in serving as guest bloggers on the site can email email@example.com.)
Slated for release in the near future is an AVEX 2015 app for mobile devices, designed to facilitate networking with other delegates and exhibitors at the show through live messaging. With free Wi-Fi available at the venue, visitors can use it to receive live show updates.
AVEX 2015 show manager Rosie Mills predicted that next year's show will be the association's biggest and best yet. "We've invested a great deal of time and budget to ensure that both visitors and exhibitors at AVEX 2015 have an incredible experience -- and using the latest app and web technology has a big part to play in that," she said.
At this writing, almost 60% of the exhibit space has been sold. Exhibit reservation sales began with the AVA's ballot event in late June, at which companies including Douwe Egberts, Mars and Siemens secured prime positioning.
The theme for AVEX 2015 is "Celebrating 2000 Years of Vending," marking the second millennial anniversary of the ancient Greek mathematician and engineer, Hero of Alexandria (fl. 40 A.D.), who described what might be the world's first vending machine.
Officially opening the exhibition will be Kriss Akabusi MBE, a noted athlete, motivational speaker and television personality, who will share his business insight and inspiring experiences in sprint and hurdling competition.
