SAN FRANCISCO -- Cantaloupe Systems has created a new loyalty program with Isis, the mobile commerce joint venture created by AT&T Mobility, T-Mobile USA, Inc. and Verizon Wireless. By integrating the Isis SmartTap protocol on cashless-enabled machines, Cantaloupe Systems said it can leverage the Isis Mobile Wallet to offer its customers loyalty and rewards programs. The first promotion will be Buy-Three-Get-One-Free that will go live on vending machines in the third quarter.
To participate in the Buy-Three-Get-One-Free program, Isis Mobile Wallet users will simply select their preferred payment cards and tap their smartphones at one of Cantaloupe's cashless-enabled vending machines located throughout the country. After making three purchases using the Isis Mobile Wallet at participating vending locations, the customer will receive a fourth purchase free.
"Our vision for cashless has always been much deeper than simply accepting cards," Cantaloupe chief executive Mandeep Arora said. "We want our operators to have the ability to engage with their customers in a number of ways and the Buy-Three-Get-One-Free program is the first step in helping our operators do just that."
Jim Stapleton, chief sales officer of Isis, added, "Today's news marks an important step forward as the vending industry continues to move beyond simply payments to deepening customer relationships through loyalty and rewards programs."
