AdvancePierre Foods Adds 3 Meats To Fast Fixin' Sandwich Bar

AdvancePierre Foods, Fast Fixin'

CINCINNATI, OH -- AdvancePierre Foods is offering three new meats for its self-serve Fast Fixin' program, which allows foodservice and c-store customers to customize their own hot sandwiches.

The expanded protein options are grilled chicken with teriyaki glaze; Angus meatloaf with ketchup; and spicy Buffalo-style breaded chicken. They join the Angus beef burgers, breaded chicken and barbeque pork rib patties that have been available since the launch of Fast Fixin' program last January.

AdvancePierre provides operators with fully cooked sandwich meats in a pre-packaged tray that can be heated in a microwave, conventional or convection oven. Heated meats maintain their temperature and freshness for up to four hours in the Fast Fixin' branded countertop display case. AdvancePierre's buns are available individually wrapped for use with the Fast Fixin' Sandwich Bar.

The convenience food manufacturer said it test marketed several meat varieties before narrowing the new choices down to the final three. Foodservice and c-store operators who tested the new offerings reportedly used them for more than just sandwiches, such as toping off salads with grilled chicken to and serving the Angus meatloaf as a dinner entrée.

Jeff West Jr., vice-president of Canteen Berks/West Dairy in Parker Ford, PA, said the program has been well received by the vending and foodservice company's customers.
