MERIDIAN, MS -- Ideal Software Systems allows amusement facilities to tap into the multibillion dollar mobile consumer market with its new Season Pass, E-Ticketing, and N-Site Point of Sale software systems.
The Season Pass and E-Ticketing systems turn smartphones into "debit card chargers." They are designed to work with site-branded prepaid cards that can be used to play arcade games and purchase food and merchandise. By turning consumers' smartphones into recharging terminals, the Ideal app enables consumers to add value to their cards in advance of their visits, and to add more value as needed onsite without the need to seek out a recharging station.
"The ability to add cash value to a cashless card using a mobile phone has several advantages," said Ideal founder and president David Goldman. "A parent can purchase value on a card for a child, and then add more at any time. That will likely increase the amount spent per customer." Goldman added that the system can also reduce lines and wait times at point-of-sale recharging kiosks that customers routinely use to add value to their cards.
The arcade or FEC owner can program the Ideal system to apply time-sensitive pricing, set play times and run promotions. The consumer interface can be customized with a venue's logo or other images to boost brand loyalty. "Enabling our customers to personalize the end-user interface brings additional value," explained Goldman. "They can give their customers a consistent, branded experience through every touch point."
Ideal's N-Site Point of Sale system integrates all profit centers of an amusement facility, including party management, cashless sales and redemption. Its food and beverage component provides particularly detailed options through an unlimited number of customizable screens. These options include open tabs for managing parties throughout the facility, and provide the ability to split and combine checks or reassign items, seats and tables. There are also applications for handling everything from table assignment and kitchen display to deeper features like menu building, food inventory management and "hold or fire" order submission.
The Ideal N-Site suite permits a facility's customers to book parties online 24/7. The online booking engine knows the exact capacity, dates and times available, and it prevents overbooking since it's fully incorporated into the seamless POS management system. The customer can also preorder such party provisions as cakes, and reserve prepaid cashless cards so the event guests can play throughout the facility from the moment they arrive.
