MELROSE PARK, IL -- To meet the growing demand from the pinball community, Stern Pinball Inc. is opening its "vault" to rerelease its Iron Man Pro game. Iron Man pinball machines feature visuals, speech, music and sound effects from the Marvel blockbuster films "Iron Man" and "Iron Man 2."

The pinball machine is being rereleased under the model name Iron Man Pro Vault Edition. First released in 2010, Iron Man Pro brings the battle between billionaire industrialist Tony Stark and his enemies to the pinball playfield. | SEE STORY

Stern Pinball said the Iron Man Pro Vault Edition heightens excitement, bringing back a classic game for players of any age and skill level. It also boasts several design and manufacturing upgrades. These include all-LED playfield lighting, along with a modern metal and wood backbox sporting red T-molding, decaled cabinetry and speaker housing. Additionally, the game's Iron Monger, War Machine and Whiplash playfield figures have been molded using a one-piece construction process, which improves their strength.

"Operators tell us that Iron Man is a great-earning pinball game, and enthusiasts tell us it's a great-playing game. We didn't make enough," said Stern Pinball chairman and chief executive Gary Stern.

Stern said the company is planning to release more "vault" editions of its games in the future.
