WASHINGTON -- The U.S. Mint will hear first-hand from the vending trade, along with other businesses, industries and agencies that would be most impacted by alternative metal compositions for circulating coinage at a March 13 stakeholder meeting.

Representatives from the National Automatic Merchandising Association and other stakeholders will attend the invitation-only event on behalf of the vending industry.

NAMA senior vice-president of government affairs Eric Dell said a subsequent notice requesting comment from the public will follow at a later date, at which time NAMA will be in contact with industry members to seek their assistance.
