LAS VEGAS -- The National Bulk Vendors Association is once again mobilizing to raise funds for its new scholarship program. With a goal of awarding $10,000 in scholarships this year, the NBVA is planning its second annual raffle for its upcoming convention and trade show in Las Vegas, March 20-22.
NBVA said tickets for the raffle will be available at its booth during the Amusement Expo, which hosts the bulk vending exhibition at the Las Vegas Convention Center. The drawing will likely take place during the NBVA's membership gala on March 21 (ticket holders do not have to be present to win).
The $5 tickets provide the chance to not only win highly desirable prizes, ranging from bulk vending machines to consumer electronics, but they will also benefit the education of deserving young people.
This year's raffle will take the form of a "tricky tray," which allows participants to choose items they wish to win at the time of purchasing tickets. "This concept is more flexible than our previous year's raffle," said NBVA scholarship chairman Leonard Daitch of Sweet City (Walled Lake, MI). "The committee received input from members and they asked for the change. The raffle was well received last year and we are making it even better."
