BAY CITY, MI -- Industry veteran Paul Jacobs has joined Gold Standard Games/Shelti as vice-president of sales and marketing. He will be responsible for the company's complete line of pool, air hockey and foosball tables, as well as dart machines, for the coin-op and home markets.
Jacobs will be assisted by the current Gold Standard sales team, including longtime sales specialist Mick White, who will continue to handle some coin-op sales while taking an expanded role on the home side, and dart sales specialist Dan Larson.
With more than 45 years in the coin-op amusement industry, Jacobs brings an all-encompassing resume to his new duties. His experience includes working in all sectors: operating, distributing and manufacturing. He has served as president of SNK Corp. of America and executive vice-president of Data East USA, both based in northern California. After moving to Florida, he served as president of BMI Gaming, and also spearheaded U.S. kiddie ride sales for Falgas Industries. Most recently, he has assisted in the sales efforts of photobooth manufacturers Digital Centre America (Miami) and Apple Industries (Greenvale, NY). He also has owned a distributorship and operating company in his native state of Wisconsin.
"I am confident that Paul's extensive experience and knowledge of the industry will help us to reach the next level," said Gold Standard/Shelti owner Mark Robbins, a former air hockey world champion and Dynamo Industries veteran who purchased predecessor company Shelti Games in 2010.
Gold Standard Games now offers a new line of premium-quality air hockey tables along with Pro Foos foosball tables, Bayside pool tables, and the new Shelti/Radikal online communicating dart game.
