ASTORIA, NY -- Champion Vending USA Corp. said it has won a 10-year contract for its vending services at Fordham University. The company is expected to install high-tech Merchant Media machines on Oct 1.
"Champion was chosen after a long evaluation of a few top companies in the area based on our track record and expertise in college vending," said Champion president William Mandile. "Champion will exclusively operate Merchant Media machines that will run seamlessly in our Streamware platform to ensure Fordham the best vending solution for their students and faculty."
Champion replaces Canteen Vending, which provided the university's vending service for the past 14 years.
Mandile said Champion will deploy 58 machines, all of which are customized with Fordham graphics. Manufactured by Crane Merchandising Systems, the high-tech Media line is equipped with 7" touchscreen user interface and wireless connectivity through the built-in Navigator cashless-ready telemetry device, along with many other state-of-the-art features. | READ MORE
