GREENVALE, NY -- Apple Industries has promoted Scott Avery to chief operating officer. Avery joined Apple, which makes the Face Place line of photobooths, as director of operations in 2011.
In his new post, Avery is responsible for overseeing the daily and long-term operational performance of Face Place products. He will also play a greater role in sales and marketing, which includes expansion into international markets.
Apple chief executive Allen Weisberg said Avery played a key role in the company's growth over the past three years, during which he contributed to the development of such new products as the NGX Face Place Photo Juke and a weather-resistant outdoor machine.
Weisberg also credited Avery's organizational abilities and strategic thinking for preventing the disruptions that companies experience during rapid growth periods. "Scott has continually improved the quality of our components, logistics and manufacturing," he said.
