ORLANDO, FL -- The Amusement and Music Operators Association of Florida is planning its first conference since the trade group's founding last year. AMOAF members and other guests will gather at the Doubletree Hilton at Universal Studios here on Sept. 26 and 27.
The tentative schedule includes a meet-and-greet social event (cash bar) and silent auction on Friday, Sept. 26, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Seminars will commence on Saturday, Sept. 27, following breakfast. ATMs, credit card payments and business financing will be among the topics, along with sessions on Florida's state sales tax and prize merchandising rules. A luncheon on Saturday will feature a legislative update from AMOAF lobbyist Scott Dick.
A new membership and member renewal special offer is planned to coincide with the AMOAF meeting. For more information, contact AMOAF secretary Phil Juckem, All Brands Tampa, at (813-259-9495) or firstname.lastname@example.org.
AMOAF was formed last year by more than a dozen amusement machine operators who saw a need to organize in response to Florida's heightened legislative and regulatory initiatives affecting amusements, especially prize-dispensing games. | SEE STORY
