INDIANAPOLIS -- The AMOA-National Dart Association is planning to host regional electronic dart tournaments across the U.S., beginning with three tourneys for the 2013-14 winter season. The first of the new tournaments are set for:
» Madison, WI -- Dec. 6-8, 2013
» Phoenix, AZ -- Dec. 13-15, 2013
» Kissimmee, FL -- Feb. 14-16, 2014
Building up to NDA's annual international tournament, Team Dart, the regional competitions will provide a fun and affordable way for dart shooters to win, with a guaranteed $15,000 payout at each tournament, the association explained.
"The creation of the regional tournaments gives the beginning to master players another opportunity to win money and entries to the annual Team Dart tournament," said NDA president Judy Mehle, BMW Billiards (Loveland, CO). "These competitions are spread out across the country to be a convenient and affordable way for players to get the most out of their NDA-sanctioned status at a local level."
Regional tournaments will be open to any NDA-sanctioned player with 48 games played for a NDA operator in the qualifying period. Each competition will feature four match types: Open Singles Combo, Doubles Cricket, Doubles '01 and Mixed Triples Combo.
All regional tournaments will lead up to Team Dart 2014, which will be held April 25-May 3 at Bally's Las Vegas. To learn more about the regional tournaments and Team Dart, visit NDAdarts.com.
