IRVING, TX -- A visit to the new Chuck E. Cheese's website reveals a "Promise To Parents" button in the top left corner, linking to a page where management vows to provide better security ("Kid Check") along with "clean, open entertainment," and "wholesome family fun" with games that are fun to play and fun to watch.
In 30-second videos explaining the "promise," company mascot Chuck E. Cheese narrates. Online versions of CEC's in-store games are also offered on the website, along with music videos featuring the mascot.
Randy Forsythe, executive vice-president and director of operations at CEC Entertainment Concepts LP, told Pizza Marketplace that the redesigned site is intended to help families plan their trips to the pizzeria arcades.
CEC announced an ongoing revamping of its marketing strategy last year, focusing less on children and more on parents.
