DALLAS -- Universal Space, or UNIS, has opened a parts and service center here for its American customers. Tim Snelling (pictured at right) has been appointed parts and service manager of UNIS USA Parts and Service.
Snelling has more than 25 years experience in the coin-op entertainment industry. Most recently, he was an area supervisor in the Florida office of TriCorp Amusements (Somerset, NJ), the East Coast's largest regional operator. He also had served as manager of technical services for CEC Entertainment Inc. (Irving, TX), the parent company of Chuck E. Cheese's, and entertainment director at Peter Piper Pizza (Phoenix).
Founded in 1993, UNIS (originally Universal Space Video Game) is among the amusement industry's premier contract manufacturers and licensors of original games. As a manufacturer and developer of redemption games, kiddie rides, prize-dispensing machines and videogames, the firm now has distribution in more than 50 countries. Headquartered in Zhongshan, Guangdong, China, it operates 50 of its own Unisland family entertainment centers throughout China.
