SYLMAR, CA -- The end of 2013 marked Anton Conaway's 25th anniversary with the leading bulk vending supplier. Conaway is division manager of A&A Global Industries' Sylmar, CA, branch. He started his career as a warehouse laborer at A&A's headquarters on the East Coast and eventually advanced into sales and management.
"I can't believe how fast 25 years goes by," said A&A vice-president and co-owner Steven Kovens. "It seems like yesterday that Anton was a new hire in our Maryland warehouse and now he is division manager of our Los Angeles branch."
To commemorate the occasion, Conaway was presented with the traditional crystal award and watch during a celebration at the California office. He also received some back pay. Conaway was originally hired through an employment agency, which deducted its fee from his checks over the course of his first year at the company. So A&A presented Conaway with a $1,000 check to reimburse him for those agency fees.
"My brother Steven and I are very proud of Anton and his amazing accomplishments over the past 25 years," added A&A president Brian Kovens. "His importance to our team is immeasurable."
