DAVENPORT, IA -- Hasty Tasty Vending, a Canteen Vending Services franchise based here, has acquired Clinton, IA-based Gateway Vending. The acquisition increases Hasty Tasty's penetration of its previously expanded service area.
Hasty Tasty added CL Swanson Corp.'s Iowa business when Compass Group North America's Canteen Vending Services division acquired the company's vending and dining operations last April. | SEE STORY
Since the CL Swanson locations are an hour away from Hasty Tasty's headquarters, acquiring Gateway, which is closer to them, was an ideal solution, according to Mark Rosset of Chicago-based Professional Vending Consultants, who facilitated the transaction.
Gateway Vending's former owner, Matt Johnson, has joined Hasty Tasty to run the Clinton division from its existing warehouse, and with its same employees.
"And all that business of Swanson's is now neatly folded in to the Gateway warehouse," Rosset said.
