PHILADELPHIA -- AMI Entertainment Network has released an update to its BarLink smartphone app that adds new user features and simplifies interaction between music fans and AMI jukeboxes. BarLink is available for mobile devices running Apple iOS or Android.
New capabilities for customizing and streamlining the BarLink experience include generating individual playlists, location search filters and secure storage of payment information for future transactions. The update also supports AMI's upcoming music video program.
The user-playlists feature enables BarLink customers to build lists of their favorite songs for easy access through any AMI jukebox. They do this by touching a "My Playlists" button under the "account" menu; then, to add a selection to a custom playlist, all that's required is a touch of the "playlist" button on the song selection screen.
Also new is an augmented search interface that offers filters that constrain the display of locations to those sites featuring specific AMI products, such as the new NGX with music video capabilities. A filter is added by touching the "filter" button on the search screen and choosing one from a list. As the music video program rolls out, patrons will be able to select music videos through BarLink.
Customers can now use the app to store credit-card information for future transactions, thus simplifying the process of adding credits to a BarLink account. This feature is invoked with a "manage credit cards" button on the account screen.
