SAN DIEGO, CA -- Fresh Healthy Vending is adding hot beverages to its vending machine menu. The company, which markets healthy vending franchises, is now offering a combination machine that vends gourmet hot beverages, along with "healthy" snacks and cold drinks.
Dubbed Fresh Healthy Vending Café, the new vender offers a selection of coffeehouse-quality drinks like organic coffee, cappuccino, espresso and chai vanilla tea for $1.25 to $2 a cup. Once a customer makes a selection, the machine grinds whole beans, brews espresso, froths the milk and disposes of the grounds, all within 40 seconds.
The San Diego-based franchisor said it sees a wide-open market for its new machine, which benefits from its compact 3x3-ft. footprint. The company envisions placement in colleges, B&I accounts and public venues, among other sites.
"The exclusive Fresh Healthy Vending Café machines are the first of what Fresh Healthy Vending expects to be a wave of new vending machines from the company over the coming years," said Dan Negroni, chief executive and president of Fresh Healthy Vending.
Founded in 2010, Fresh Healthy Vending reports that its flagship machine, a dual-temperature snack and drink combination, has been placed in more than 1,500 locations nationwide. It's stocked with better-for-you foods, including yogurt, fresh fruits and vegetables, smoothies and baked chips, and equipped with a telemeter.
